This week three things have touched my heart: Foliage besides a still lake, Mother Love for son in a Japanese TV – “Tokyo Tower” and a Song from a blind singer’s deep soul- You are my eye. Each touch seems point to a far more exceeding weight of a New World.
Foliage besides a Still lake
I love to take photos, especially for foliage. I ask myself: What do I try to grasp?
I am amazed at myself that I am trying to grasp a moment of Eternity. I like to stop and keep time to stay at a picture. I did not print a color photos since using digital camera 4 years ago. Will Eternity really be able to stay at a computer file consists by 0 and 1? The face of the World change immediately right after every Picture being taken. Are we expecting an invisible world? Why could a piece of foliage touch our heart? Are we expecting a world the leaves being green forever?
Tokyo Tower
I invite my kids to see this Japanese TV show “Tokyo Tower”.
In the show, the mother pulls her son to school but he is so shy that he escapes from school. Mother has to bring her son to restaurant she works. When this Son grows up, he wants to escape from his mom by complaining no future at home town. He wants to go Tokyo for University. He rejects his mom for farewell trip. Mom still come and pushes to give him a package. He open and found it is his favorite rice balls and Tokyo map and encouraging letter of mom and 10000 Japanese Yens. His tears drop with the favorite rice balls in mouth.
My kids found I am crying, too. Mother’s love is amazing. But is there a deeper love than it? We are so touched by the love of mother. Are we searching a deep love in heaven and earth? Will it be a real world full of this kind of love and will never change and could be kept forever?
Blind Singer – You are my Eye
He cannot see but he sings a song from his souls as follows:
If I can see, I will tell day and night easily. I will hold your hand among crowds without error. If I can see, I can drive you to anywhere. I will hug you from your back with a surprise. If I can see, life might be totally different, all I want, I like, I love could be totally differently. The darkness before my eye is not darkness. What exactly is the white you mentioned to me? The blue sky people mentioned to me could be the blue sky after the cloud in my memory.
Looking toward your face, I can only see emptiness. Did God forget to remove the Veil before my eye?
You are my eye to lead me through seasonal change.
You are my eye to lead me through crowds.
You are my eye to read me through sea of books.
Because you are my eye, you lead me to see the whole world in front of me.
This song from the blind singer surrounds me for many days.
Why it moves me so much? Although he cannot see the world what we already see, but isn’t it a world we are so familiar that we barely to see it? Is his longing also our longing? Facing the tough world we see, are we after him being hunger for a world we cannot see?
Paul seems already see the world what we longing for:
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthian 4:16-18)
Dr. A.W. Tozer used to remind us that the invisible world described in the Bible was the only “real world.” If we would only see the visible world the way God wants us to see it, we would never be attracted by what it offers (1 John 2:15-17).
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever. (1 John 2:15-17)
My three touching encounter a song: “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. “
Opening your bible, everything looks old but clear. Your merciful face seems shown up. Your voice still touches my heart and soul. Being with me through spring, summer, fall and winter. No one can compare with your creation and your love. I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. Whether I agree or care, you have given your life for me.
翻開您的聖經,一切古老但是清晰;
All three touching were pointing to a face of merciful Father!
It seems the Heavenly Father speak to us through his bible:
For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Roman 1:19-20)
From the foliage beside still lake, you can see my creation!
While we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man — though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die. But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Roman 5:6-8) He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? (Roman 8:32)
From the mother’s love for son in Tokyo Tower, you can see my love for you!
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? (Roman 8:18-24)
From the song by the blind singer, you can see the world I am leading you to.
Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not see the end of the fading splendor. But their minds were hardened; for to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their minds; but when a man turns to the Lord the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthian 3:12-18)
It seems I have seen the Heavenly Father Smiles at us and I can see the invisible real world with tears full of joyful grace.
I have revise the song as follows:
If I can See (All “you” became my dear Lord.)
If I can see, I will tell your heart easily.
I will hold your hand among crowds without error.
If I can see, I can drive with you to anywhere.
Looking toward your face, I can only see a smoke of ashes.
Did I forget to remove the Veil before your eye?
You are my eye to lead me through seasonal change.
You are my eye to lead me through crowds.
You are my eye to read me through sea of books.
Because you are my eye, you lead me to see the whole world in front of me.
我將歌詞改寫成”If I can See如果我能看得見”:
